Nissan LEAF has already created lot of buzzword in the markets all over the world and now Nissan has made an announcement that they have already reached the 10,000 sales figure in the European market. The automaker said that they have just sold their 10,000 Nissan LEAF to Sylvie Lailler who bought the new Nissan LEAF. Nissan claims that this milestone claims that Nissan LEAF is one of the top selling electric vehicle of all times especially in the European market. Nissan said that Mrs. Lailler is a nurse by profession and decided to buy Nissan LEAF so that she can visit elderly patients and use it for the family on weekends. She decided to buy her Nissan LEAF from Mantes-la-Jolie dealership which is close to Paris.
Nissan said that they are really proud to say that they managed to reach the 10,000 mark so soon. The automaker said that they decided to roll out Nissan LEAF in March 2011 and in just two years time they have managed to reach the milestone figure. Nissan Europe Director of Electric Vehicle Jean-Pierre Diernaz said that he is delighted to see the company touching the 10,000 sales milestone. He said that it is important that buyers understand that electric cars can perform on the same level as conventional cars. He also said that the Nissan LEAF has gained lot of market in Europe in the last one year and they are working hard on their marketing options to sell more throughout Europe. He also said that the demand for Nissan LEAF also shows the sudden shift in attitudes towards electric vehicles.
