Alternative Fuel
Alternative fuel use is going to be one of the key components of preserving our planet. In fact, it already is! With the high number of environmentally degenerating responses in the last century there are now no options left but to look at the alternative fuel consumption as a way of sustenance. Some of the typical alternative fuels are gasohol, biodiesel, neat ethanol, compressed natural gas, vegetable oil, hydrogen non-fossil methane, fuel cells, butanol, bioalcohol, biomass sources of different variations, chemically stored electricity etc.Conventional fossil fuel includes coal, petroleum oil, mineral oil, propane, natural gas and nuclear materials like uranium. The alternative fuels serve as the non-conventional ways of making fuel consumption possible. These are higher sustaining that conventional fuel and these options in mainstream use remain untapped.
The alternative fuel sources consume less of the earth’s natural mineral sources and create less pollution. It comes from more of sustainable energy resources that make way for a cleaner environment. The main purpose of fuel is to provide us with energy. When this energy is used in locomotion or generation of function of machines and heavy equipments it is then related to production. When energy comes from a stable source, we can depend on it. The production makes it possible to have a machine working or make transportation possible from one place to another. All fuels go through chemical alternation with the burning process. This chemical storage of energy within a compound is known as potential energy. When the release of potential energy occurs it is then known as kinetic energy which is responsible for all forms of movement and empowering of an engine or heating unit to make a machine run. When energy is released with force, work is produced. Consumption of fuel will always result in energy release.
There are many factors that have worked in the last few decades and caused an impact in our environment, bringing the further necessity to bring the responsibility of alternate fuel use in our immediate scenario. The impact has been very severe and the good news is that in 2007 US sold over 1.8 million alternative fuel driven vehicles. The growing economic perception has resulted in political stances that shifted ideas about conventional fuel. Even mainstream ideas got influenced with this and with the general economic, political and geopolitical developments nothing but the utility of alternative fuel source takes place.
The major responsibility for environmental concerns has been reported to IPCC which has increased awareness in turn. As a result of mass consciousness being raised the propensity of use of alternative fuel comes to the picture. With the excessive use of conventional fuel global warming and pressure on ozone layer, so much as so to pervade it, have taken place. There have also been numerous species and several kinds of wildlife being depleted out of the face of the earth due to deforestation along with the excessive consumption of earth energy. Anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentration has been one of the issues with global warming which is again a direct result of pollution created by conventional fuels. Burning fossil fuels overall increases green house effect and is the highest contributor of global warming.
The concept of peak oil has also come in play with the excessive use. This theory which is the Hubbert peak theory, says that as production level peaks, there would be an energy crisis to meet with the needs increasing and the energy reserves lowering. With this theory coming to force rapidly, there have been scientists hastening to work with the alternative theory resource that has in fact brought forward some of the most effective rerunning concepts of alternative fuel consumption. Alternative fuel always works on lessening the environmental damage and it is one of the more replaceable storage houses. There are going to be less chances of crisis coming through alternative fuel use. As the gap will continue to grow with limited resources of fuel consumption from earth reserves, the demand will make it impossible for people to sustain on that energy itself. This way the greater importance of alternative fuel comes into unmitigated practice and becomes accountable without conditions.
To make over this lull in energy crisis this is an essential step. The petroleum reserves in Middle East would soon be running short with the intensifying unrest and warfare going on at that place both for the oil as well as the big country’s fear of losing control of it. Fuel shortages worldwide can create huge conflicts but alternative energy sources would definitely open up new channels. These can overcome the shortages and bring about energy development that creates sustenance for a brighter planet tomorrow. The greater practice of alternative energy we have the more abundance circulates around us and we put in to focus what can be done with peace, other than going for conflict. The general concern can be put to rest as more and more ways of bringing forth alternative energy to mainstream can be affected.
