According to some reports emerged in the Camaro5 forums, the V8-powered SS models that has been equipped with the manual transmission has failed and it is going to launch or use the control system that cause broken output shaft.
The reports says that these transmission related issues do not relate to the launch of control system as the failures seem to happen without confirming the involvement of launch control. It uses the Tremec 6060 six-speed gearbox transmission that can also be seen in Mustang GT 500, the Dodge Viper and Corvette Z06. It has also been housed in many other performance cars and that’s why it appears as a manufacturing issue.
