It took six long years for Jesse James to put in his idea into the streamliner to set the world record for the top speed that could be reached with the hydrogen-powered vehicle. It was all set on the afternoon on June 16, when James flew across the dry lake bed in the desert of California and recorded the top speed of 199.712 mph.

This was the top speed for any hydrogen-powered vehicle. This was 14 mph faster than current record of 185 mph set by the BMW in the hydrogen-powered H2H in Germany.

Jesse James was really elated on setting up this record and indeed praised the emission free race car. He said that this car could definitely impress people and is world changing. He also added that one could not rely on gasoline for long and at some point of time there should be a transition. This whole deal was done for an episode of Jesse’s TV show.
