The original Audi TT, when it first got launched in 1998, was nothing short of a genius stroke. The assumed wedge shape broke a number of stylistic conventions and the incredible focus on detailing raised the benchmark of interior design to an entirely new level. These kinds of cars always carry a substantial cultural significance. And now, Audi’s design department presents the third generation Audi TT at the Paris Motor Show, where we will see the debut of Audi TT Roadster and TTS Roadster. The German Design Council bestows these awards and the contest enjoy a special status in the design world.
This next TT comes packed with more angles than ever and is certainly a design icon. The top-performance driving machine comes packed with the new technology for the new generation driver. What you will notice is the new lighting technology introduced by the premium brand. The combined fuel consumption in l/100 km is 31.4 – 56.0 US mpg and the combined CO2 emissions in g/km are 280.0 – 177.0 g/mi. Equipped with a 230-hp, 2.0-liter turbo, the TT creates 273 lb-ft of torque. The TT tops out at 155 mph irrespective of which transmission is selected or how many wheels are driven.
