Mercedes menace: SLR Stirling Moss lives up to the Hype

The new SLR Stirling Moss from the automobile legends Mercedes and McLaren is proving its point and is well up to the hype created. The car’s looks stuns as it was in picture and people are just waiting to get its key to go for a dream ride in this powerful hunk. Created by the collaboration of Mercedes and McLaren, the vehicle cost almost $1.1 million on road.

The car comes without the windshield as it was adding too much to the car’s weight. The sad thing about this car is that it won’t be available for sale in the United States because of the lack of windshield.

The idea of building this car was proposed in the year 2005 and was developed in Working and Stuttgart. The basis of this car is the standard SLR roadster’s carbon-fiber monocoque. The highlight of the vehicle is its light weight and the top speed of 217 miles per hour.

Volker Mornhinweg, who is AMG performance division chief at Mercedes-Benz, offers a seven step procedure to those who are looking to make the most of their new 2010 E63 AMG models.

Depress brake pedal completely
Shifting transmission to D
Switching electric program for sport mode
Switching to race-start mode with transmission
Clicking upshift paddle
Completely depressing accelerator pedal and releasing brakes are these seven steps that Volker explains.

The high-end E63 AMG is set to make its debut at the New York auto show and it is expected to arrive in November, after the launches of the 2010 E-class sedan and coupe. The classic E63 has loads of such features as are not less than a real shocker and make it a nice alternative Audi’s S model and BMW’s M sedans.

The 2010 model will feature restyled sheemtal with suspension, powertrain, interior and many other safety equipment improvements. The E63 has E-class like styling with side skirts and wider fenders. When it comes to interiors, it has sport seats with four-stroke AMG steering wheel with console mounted center shift and paddles.

It houses the same 6.3-liter V8 that have already seen in the previous version, but some improvements have been made which enhance horsepower by 11 to 518hp but the same 465 lb-ft torque.

Mercedes E63 Glimpses Caught In Snow

Mercedes E-class wagon has been spied plunging in snow with full glorious and elegant moves, by AMG.

The car was out for cold weather testing when it was caught and its shots were taken. It was completely covered when the photos were taken. But it can be surely said that it is a new fast fury in the market, embedded with lots of Mercedes expertise and techniques. Most of the features are based upon speculations as a clear and detailed view was not possible while the car was spied.

The high quality make and technique can be seen simply by looking at the exhaust pipes. The back holds a quad setup which is an indication that AMG is dropping in a 6.3 liter V8. It is coming with 500+ hp for extended speed elevations. The styling is in line with the rest of the new E-class with an upfront featured with trapezoidal headlights making it stand out.

In E63 it is evident that the technology used in S and CL classes has also been used in it. It looks as if AMG is working very hard to develop and improve its E class series. Lately E class sedan was spy shot.
