All eyes will be trained on Infiniti at the LA Auto Show starting this week, where Nissan plans to unveil its much-heralded Infiniti JX crossover, along with the IPL G Convertible from its Performance Line.

The Infiniti JX, which is Nissan’s largest crossover SUV, is Infiniti’s first large, luxury crossover. With three rows and space for seven seats (the second row tilts and slides forward to allow access to the back), this vehicle is a leader in its class in terms of size and luxury. And it doesn’t skimp on any of the latest features and accessories either; to name just a few: Back-up Collision Intervention, a Personal Assistant program (live 24-hours a day), a 14-speaker Bose stereo system and Infiniti Connection Telematics, which automatically synch drivers’ calendar and navigation appointments.

The JX joins the FX and the Infiniti QX, which are midsize crossover SUVs, reputed for their dual performance and luxury features. The exteriors tend to reflect their sporting capabilities, with extended, sweeping hoods and bold grilles. The JX is no exception with its dramatic front grille and strong lines, causing a stir when it was unveiled in California in August this year.

The FX and QX models retain their versatility in terms of performance, with ready acceleration and improved fuel efficiency. Pundits suggest that Infiniti will put similar effort into the JX, speculating that it will sport the successful V6 engine (3.5 or 3.7-litre) from the VQ series.

The brand new Infiniti JX crossover SUV is designed to appeal to families who need the space and are looking for premium features in navigation, communications and comfort. It’s got class-leading interior space and excellent technologies that will be an asset to its performance on the road as well.
