2013 Tesla Model S Review

The Tesla story is genuinely intriguing and motivating. Crossing those huge losses every fiscal quarter and ushering in a brighter, cleaner future, 2013 Tesla Model S is a lot different from the Roadster.  The chassis is its own and not a borrowed one from Lotus. Now, having its own bodywork, Tesla could devise the car the way they wanted it. The company wanted to do much more than just styling of the existing car. The Model S design is practical as well as attractive.

Exterior and Interiors

2013 Tesla has its own platform and styling, and is a practical family sedan.  As the rear-glass and trunk-lid are joined, one can have the voluntary rear-facing jump-seats or have a large cargo area. The roomy cabin can seat 5 people comfortably. The motor and battery tucked neatly beneath the floor and one can do with more cargo space. Just press on the flush mounted door handles and one is greeted by one of the cleanest and nicest interior designs. The 17-inch multi-function touch screen looks a lot similar an Apple iPad but was made by Tesla. It runs everything in the car- the navigation, audio system, climate control and can even unlock the doors, trunk and releases the flap in the 2013 Tesla Model S.

Engine and performance

The fully electric 2013 Tesla Model S offers a choice of engine with 3 different battery packs. Pick from a 60 kWh pack with a 230 mile range, 40 kWh pack with a range of 160 mile and 85 kWh with a 300 mile range. Get 362-hp and 325 lb-ft of torque from the most powerful 85 kWh pack. Just place your foot on the brake pedal to make the car come alive. Well, you will really have to look out for the pedestrians as they certainly won’t hear 2013 Tesla as it moves so silently. The car rakes up the speed quickly as you step on the gas and the accelerator.

Prices of 2013 Tesla start at $49,900. Summing up 2013 Tesla Model S review, it looks wonderful, is spacious and boasts of high-tech interior. It is sure to attract plenty of new buyers with promises of usable range.  It is claimed to be a winner if it is able to work reliably and deliver what it says. Tesla truly has a serious champion on its hands.
