Aston Martin Joins Hands with Toyota to Develop World’s first Luxury City Car

Luxury automaker Aston Martin and Toyota are going to develop the first luxury city car of the world.Recently, Aston Martin has released some images of its Cygnet that is Toyota’s well known iQ that has restyled front sheetmetal.

Though the concept has been officially allocated so far, some news reports suggest that the vehicle will be put on sale during the next year.

The new vehicle will be offered to those who currently have an Aston Martin or to those who have already placed an order for the vehicle.

Loans Approved for Ford, Nissan, Tesla for Electric Cars, Energy Department

Fuel-efficient cars are the need of the hour and the U.S Energy Department has realized this and is ready to grant a loan of $8 billion for Ford Focus, a five-seat electric Nissan and Tesla’s Model S sedan. This is the government’s main step towards the promotion of more fuel-efficient vehicles. The first announcement of these loans was made on Tuesday at the Ford research center at Dearborn.

Good news is that Ford will get the bulk of this loan and to be exact in number $5.9 billion will be given to Ford through 2011 and this amount will be used by the company to retool two plants to make cars. Ford has also announced that it will huge this money to produce battery-powered versions of Transit Connect vans.

Hyundai’s new Santa Fe 2010 is expected to have some best features in it. This would be an upgraded model. The Hyundai’s  factory at Montgomery in Alabama has added the production of four- cylinder engines last year but it has recently introduced some upgraded features like adding direct injection to its 2.4 – liter four – cylinder engine. When compared with other direct inject engines this revised version would be renovated increased power capacity while consuming lesser fuel. This debut of direct injected four- cylinder would be introduced in the 2010 Santa Fe this fall.

Jesse Holds Pride for Bringing Hydrogen Land-Speed Record back to United States

It took six long years for Jesse James to put in his idea into the streamliner to set the world record for the top speed that could be reached with the hydrogen-powered vehicle. It was all set on the afternoon on June 16, when James flew across the dry lake bed in the desert of California and recorded the top speed of 199.712 mph.

This was the top speed for any hydrogen-powered vehicle. This was 14 mph faster than current record of 185 mph set by the BMW in the hydrogen-powered H2H in Germany.
