Honda Rocks Green theme with Insight giveaway at Concerts

Getting closer to environment and for spreading the news of the 2010 Insight hybrids, Honda has geared up for a musical bent this summer. The company has partnered in two spot light musical festivals, where top class musicians will be performing.

They are going to organize green activities at the two fests, which also includes the Hybrid displays and car give away. The festivals are being held at Austin City Limits in Texas and Lollapalooza in Chicago. The company says that they have chosen to partner with the event as it drew larger crowds and as the whole event had an environment friendly approach.

Fiat finalizes take over of Opel

Italian carmakers Fiat has finalized its stakes in the beleaguered German carmaker Opel, with the letter of intent to be signed towards the end of this month. Though Fiat had made a secret deal to acquire major stake in Opel, it is not a secret now.

Opel’s works Council Chairman Klaus Franz has confirmed the Italian carmakers interest. He had also stated that the way has been cleared for signing the letter of intent. With the signing, the Italian carmakers would get the majority stake in Fiat.

The starting price of Toyota Prius 2010 redesigned model is set as $22, 750.

This car will be available in the showrooms from May. With so many features, the third generation Prius is sure to captivate car lovers. Later this year, Toyota has decided to strip down the car and introduce a base model of Prius for $21, 750. This also includes shipping costs.

The new third generation Prius has a 1.8 liter engine with four cylinders. The cylinders of Prius can generate 98 hp. You can also find a combination model car with electric motor that increases power of Prius to 110 hp. If you go for Prius with electric motor, you can achieve a high power of 134 hp.

The new next generation car by Ford i.e. Focus is following the footsteps of its predecessor Iosis MAX.

It is said that most of Focus’ styling has the marks of Iosis MAX, and is called as ‘Next stage in the evolution of kinetic design’ by Ford. With the similar looking back lights installed in a relatively higher rear, the car has elegance. The angular C-pillar gives it a definite impression.
